WILDFIRE ASSISTANCE

The Elk and Lee fires caused significant disruption in and around Meeker, forcing families to evacuate suddenly, incurring unexpected costs, and returning to find their homes and daily lives destabilized. Nearly every household lost perishable food during the evacuations, while also facing fuel and lodging expenses and the health impacts of lingering smoke. These families and individuals represent a cross-section of community members who urgently need help covering the most basic needs: groceries to replace what was lost, fuel for transportation, and short-term support to regain stability. Immediate assistance will prevent these families from falling further behind and allow them to focus on recovery.
